Coca-Cola and hamburgers: the most consumed products in the world

6.4 billion litres of Coca-Cola are sold every year, in over one hundred and sixty countries.
The drink was invented by Dr. Jhon Pemberton in Atlanta on 8 May 1886 as a healthy drink, but it was given the name Coca-Cola by his partner Frank Robinson, because it was originally made from the coca plant.
The first factory was opened by Asa Candler in Texas (1895), where is still made. Billions of bottles and cans have been made since 1895 but the recipe is still unknown.

As you know Coca-Cola is a highly consumed product all over the world like hamburgers, so let's talk about hamburgers history now.

The hamburger is the most eaten food in the world. The first hamburgers were made in Connecticut by an American: Louis Lassen. Louis called them hamburgers because sailors from Hamburg gave him the recipe. The hamburgers started to get popularity and their boom started with McDonald's restaurants which had bring it to the top of the most eaten food.

As you can see the most eaten products in the world are maybe the ones that are not so healthy and are typical of fast-food restaurants.
